Are yoga and Pilates the same?
Pilates is different to Yoga in that it is a series of floor-based exercises developed to improve core strength, which is accomplished by focusing on strengthening the abdominal, back, pelvic floor and hip muscles, flexibility is also improved. Yoga creates balance in the body through developing body strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. The classes are a combination of core strengthening, flexibility and breathing exercises leaving you feeling relaxed, invigorated and possibly standing taller.
